First of all...I'm so sorry I didn't post the previous week's results. Secondly, I'm so sorry this is so delayed. But it's here now.
Previously...On ECW -- CM Punk has joined the NEW BREED OMGWTFBBQ.
Opening Segment -- The New Breed (now with CM Punk! Get yours today!) opens the show. Basically they gloat about now having CM Punk on their side. CM Punk, in not so many words, refuses to say why he chose to join the New Breed. RVD interrupts, and the crowd chants RVD, and we get a back-and-forth between RVD and Burke about Punk and the New Breed, and then RVD challenges the leader of The New Breed, and Punk accepts, but Burke says he's leader, so Punk says fine, and now we have Burke vs RVD, and Punk is looking enigmatic. Yay enigmatic!Punk. I have a feeling one of those guys is about to get totally Punk'd. :: cringe ::
Match 1 -- Nunzio vs Snitsky --- ECW is in Italy, so Nunzio's getting some hometown love here. Fuhggeddabouddit. Snitsky squashes in 3:00. Like I said, FUHGGEDDABOUDDIT.
Backstage Banter -- Burke and Punk are talking backstage. Punk thinks Burke is scared of RVD. Burke says he isn't, and if Punk is going to be a member of the New Breed, he's going to have to fall in line. Punk repeats that line then walks away. Burke is NOT HAPPY.
Match 2 -- Kevin Thorne (w/Ariel) and Marcus Cor Von vs Sandman and Tommy Dreamer --- The faces are all waving Italian flags tonight, lolz. Well, the fans do reward them with "E-C-Dub" chants, so that's aight. And who knew Sandman's hurricanrana was called "Heineken-rana"?! , made me laugh. Dreamer and Sandman win in 5:00 thanks to the ropes in between the 2-count and the 3-count.
Backstage Banter -- Punk and Striker were watching the match on a monitor, and Punk says the New Breed doesn't need people falling in line, they need free-thinkers. Striker doesn't really buy it, but he smiles politely.
In-Ring Promo -- Lashley sells Santino Marella again. Marella is pretty over with his hometown crowd, duh. Nice little promo, I guess, but not much that would make a lot of people care.
Backstage Banter[/b] -- It's all about the Punkage this week, isn't it? Burke tells Cor Von and Thorn not to let a tiny setback hold them down, and then Punk shows up and he and Burke talk about who does and says what in the New Breed, and Punk says he'll be at ringside for Burke's match with RVD. Burke's about to be fuckin' Punk'd, y'all, I just know it.
Match 3 -- Elijah Burke vs RVD --- Punk doesn't actually come out until 2/3 into the match, and only to "accidentally" help RVD. RVD wins in 8:00. Punk tries his best to over-apologize to Burke.
========================================
I think the WWE people just know that CM Punk would go over better as a face than a complete heel, which is probably why they're doing the whole Doubtful Loyalty storyline this early into his joining the New Breed. But I don't know....I really wish they'd keep the whole Lashley thing to ECW, because I personally don't like the cross-brandage of somebody who just can't handle it. They're trying to do with Lashley what they're doing with Cena, but John can pull it off and Lashley can't. It's NOT WORKING, and I am NOT HAPPY.
